After successful completion of the course, students are able to historically classify and contextualise typical examples of landscape architecture and to name and critically reflect on different positions on the current approach to cultural heritage.
Together with a colleague, Dr. Ulrike Krippner, and students from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, we will visit Brno on a two-day trip: Park Slovanské náměstí (Leberecht Migge, 1913), Villa Tugendhat (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Gertrud Müller-Roder, 1929/30), Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the MU (1960s and 1970s) and examples of contemporary landscape architecture, as well as a landscape park in the surrounding area or on the way to Brno (e.g. Valtice).
The trip will take place on 18-19 April.
