After successful completion of the course, students are able to actively and creatively contribute to the reconceptualization of a course, to articulate their ideas of innovative teaching methods and to identify crucial topics which shall be addressed in the future as part of the modules of the Urban Design research unit.

The range of modules offered by the faculty and thus also by the Urban Design research unit will change fundamentally with the introduction of the new architecture master’s curriculum. As part of the seminar, the students will get an insight into the previous module range by various representatives of the Urban Design research unit and the faculty and they will be introduced to the teacher's opinion on the new conception of the modules.

As a response, the students shall develop an independent opinion and their own positions on this important reorientation of the course offerings. These different opinions and positions are then discussed in joint rounds during joint half-day excursions to the periphery of Vienna and its surroundings. This process will be moderated by Benni Eder.
