After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently recognize and evaluate complex tourism tasks in the field of architecture. They are able to develop tourism concepts for concrete places or topics independently and react to such tasks with architectural projects. Participants are able to consider current conditions such as energy consumption and contemporary mobility in an increasingly digitalised world.
Tourism is an industry that has a significant impact on the shape of cities. The history of origins and changing forms of tourism, the philosophy of travel and the economic significance of tourism are discussed. Special attention is paid to the concepts of authenticity and design quality in connection with touristic offers. Different tourist facilities are analysed and evaluated in a discursive process, their effects on the affected groups of people are examined. Landscape and natural space, which are increasingly becoming a production factor in tourism as well, lead to a discussion of the legal framework and the necessary dynamics of these steering instruments. Energy demand as a quality factor must also be redefined in tourism.

This work is to be carried out in small groups of 2-3 students each. There are therefore no examinations for the individual courses.
