After successful completion of the course, students are able to provide answers to the various questions of tourist housing. The lecture series deals with "short-time living" in the most diverse forms of housing that tourism has created. The aim of the course is to impart knowledge about the building type hotel as comprehensively as possible - always seen in connection with its respective environment. In particular, the focus is on of building typology of resort hotels, vacation villages, tourist resorts and hotel cities.
Starting from a short presentation of the historical development of the genre resort hotel, on the one hand an overview should be given based on examples of selected international hotel projects, which are architecturally relevant for tourism. On the other hand analytical and practical skills in the form of planning notes are given, which are helpful for the architectural design and planning of buildings used by tourists.

Proof of performance in the module is provided by fulfilling the attendance requirement, appropriate cooperation and the preparation and presentation of short presentations on specific topics, as well as the development of a tourism concept (design project) on a topic of your choice with reference to the current main topic "Weinviertel". This work is to be carried out in small groups of 2-3 students each. There are therefore no examinations for the individual courses.
