After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and interpret the manifold historical and current components of the phenomenon "urban development".
By means of theories, models and practical examples, basic knowledge about framework conditions, influencing factors and results of processes of urban development in an international context and especially for the City of Vienna will be imparted. In doing so, reference is always made to the practice of urban development, thus creating an understanding for the students of the current and future challenges of urban planning.
