Objectives of this lecture are:

1. Use of learned principles of construction design as a part of building design.

2. Identify of constructional and material in terms of installation options and the joints, economy an sustainability

3. Logical use of construction elements and materials in the design and determination of dimensions.

The lecture has following subjects:

1. Representation of constructions

2. Determination of Loads

3. determination of construction dimensions

4. Representation of construction details

Lectures and workshops in group work.

General certificate of achievement: lecture part and exercise part (both parts must be completed positively).

Preparation of a structural concept based on the associated TWL lectures and submission of a design and detail folder.

If the entire exercise (ITI part) is graded Very Good, Good or Satisfactory, the lecture exam is omitted. If the grade is between 4 and 5, a lecture exam can be taken in early March to still earn a passing grade. Clear "Not Satisfactory" grades, such as missing submissions, do not have the option of taking the exam.

In principle, the VU Structural Systems 2 - Optimization takes place in combination with the LVA 253.G68 Structural Engineering 2 - VU.

REGISTRATION

The registration takes place first in the group registrations of the accompanying LVA 253.G68 Hochbau 2 from 27.09.-30.09.
Registrations will be carried over for LVA ragsysteme 2 - Optimierung, after which individual registrations will be released for repeaters.

Transitional provisions: If you have already taken "Tragwerkslehre 2 - Bausysteme und Bemessung, VO" and "Tragwerkslehre 2 - Bausysteme und Bemessung, VO" und "Hochbau und Tragwerk - TWL, VU" from an old curriculum, you do not need to take Tragsysteme 2. In this case, please deregister independently, as we do not have access to the courses you have already taken!
