After successful completion of the course, students are able to grasp the materials of this module's three lecture courses in their interrelation, and to compose their own texts by working with computational methods.
The lecture exercise course "Architecture and Treatise" is a course in which the students bring together the contents of the lectures and write independent texts on digital architectonics, including methods of digital humanities as well as classic poetics, rhetoric and dialectics. The students will exercise themselves in how one can learn to take the old architecture treaties seriously today, and how one can find inspiration to learn from architecture to speak and write again in a relevant way about the current transformations of our world.
Readings, presentations, discussions, exercises.
Each student will actively engage with the tradition of architecture treatise writing as a genre, and compose an own oration on architecture today.
