In a "design to build" project a gridshell will be designed which is really build in public space. Out of the start-designs a best design for implementation in public space will be chosen.
In small teams surfaces and their special curves -like geodaesics and asymptotics- are investigated. Special CAD-tolls like Rhino- and Grasshopper-plugins which are provided as open-source will be used.
Furthermore best fit cross-sections, materials and joint-solutions will be discussed and developed.
