Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 2.5
  • Type: UE Exercise

Aim of course

Based on your previous occupation with facade design, we will formalize your designs such that the underlying rules become clear. We will use these rules in a second step when implementing (i.e. programming in a language such as NetLogo or using a parametric design tool such as Grasshopper).

Subject of course

A given facade is initially analyzed and formalized such that the underlying rules become visible. In a second step we will then learn to implement a generative tool based on these rules, using either a programming language or a parametric design tool. The course thus covers both aspects of algorithmical thinking and programming for architects.
