After successful completion of the course, students are able to (1.) identify suitable papers in architecture and planning, (2.) understand their structure rapidly and (3.) include the findings of these into their own research.
We will be reading through landmark papers in digital architecture and planning, in order to acquire scientific skills in architectual sciences. This part will be supplemented by a crashcourse in scientific event management, i.e. organization of symposia/conferences and journal publications, which is the "other side" that authors seldom get an insight into if they are not experts in their field.
Oral examination regarding the understanding of scientific material in architectural sciences, especially the ability to rapidly assess whether one should read on, and to what extent this applies to one's own problem.
