After successful completion of the course, students are able to design and calculate structural timber and timber hybrid constructions in consideration of all technical and standard-based requirements. The students are also able to combine their structural skills with further technical knowledge to ensure the functional integrity of timber-based multi-story structures.
The course consists of a lecture and an exercise part, drawn up independently by the students in homeworks. The computational methods neccessary for the exercise part will be explained during the lectures.
- Due to the current situation, ALL lecture and exercise units in the summer semester 2021 will be carried out via distance learning (lecture recordings).
- The respective lecture notes and the respective lecture recordings (audio commented lecture notes) can be called up in TUWEL.
Since it is currently not predictable when classroom teaching will be possible again, TU Wien has decided as a precaution to extend Distance Learning until the end of the summer semester 2021 for all courses for which this is possible.
Exams
Written examinations will be held in a distance learning concept.
