Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve problems occurring during the planning process using algorithms.

The students are able to generate solutions with the aid of algorithms. Topics about hardware, software and algorithms gives the student the opportunity to digitally support the planning process.

 

Subject of course

Based on practical examples from competitions, we will bring the underlying concepts and structures that can be used to generate solutions programmatically, e.g.:

  • graph theory
  • algorithms and data structures (lists, sorting, trees, ...)
  • 3D vector calculus
  • design methods for algorithmic problem solving (e.g. Activity Data Method)
