After successful completion of the course, students are able to posess an in-depth overview about the methodologies of protective technologies and principles in the built environment. Methods, such as the planning of in-built security-technology, as well as the drafting of Fire-Safety-Plans are discussed and exercised.
The lecture delves into the methods for safety systems with the example of risk analysis introduced in protective ecology. Since presentation in drawings is an essential tools of architects, risk and threat assessment, as well as the provision of suitable safety equipment, examples for fire safety drawings are presented according to TRVB 121.
Technologies for improvements and maintenance of desired safety standards are discussed, with an emphasis on the following issues on the basis of state-of-the-art technology:
i) fire safety in construction;
ii) fire alarm systems;
