Understanding of the fundamentals for safety systems in construction.
The lecture gives an introduction to the methods of safety systems exemplified by risk analysis. This involves the computer-based documentation and written explanation of risks and dangers, as well as the provision of suitable safety equipment based on risk management methods. These methods are applied to the dimensioning of fire safety equipment (following OIB2). The legal requirements for improvements and maintenance of desired safety standards are discussed, with an emphasis on the following TRVB clauses: i) fire safety in construction; ii) fire alarm systems; iii) sprinkler systems; iv) fire smoke exhaust; v) on-the-spot and extended fire extinction support; vi) firefighting water supply.
