After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and apply advanced concepts of building physics and building ecology for building design evaluation.

Students...

• learn about advanced topics in building physivs (energetic performance, indoor climate) of building parts, buildings and municipalities
• get knowledge about basics of scientific research, scientific publication and the management of research projects.
• get insight in current issues of building ecology and building physics (Benchmarking, LCA, ...)
• get the ability of critical assessment of building elements, buildings and municipalities in view of their ecological performance.
• are motivated to develop new and innovative solutions for building technologies.

• thermal/energetical building performance of constructions
• Introduction to scientific research 

Building Ecology:

• LCA and Eco-Certification
• Benchmarking Systems, Building Ratings Systems
• Recycling and Reuse in building construction

• Different lectures in english language.
