Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to use models as a tool for finding shape and form during the design process. The main focus is set on handcrafted work and experimenting with form and proportions using various materials.

Subject of course

A project (studio, design, diploma thesis or similar) is accompanied and further developed throughout the design process by work-in-process or presentation models in different scales and techniques.

Registration takes place in the form of a first interview. These happen before the start of the design process (wednesdays 1:00-3:00 PM in the workshop); at the beginning of the semester or before starting the design process of the diploma project. Bring a printed site plan in a 1:500 scale with marked differenes in height of area and surrounding buildings.
