To communicate an overview of important examples, buildings, movements and problems of architectury history in the 19th and 20th centuries considered in the context of cultury history aspects.
Using examples of analysis and investigations, a chronological survey will present buildings and projects, internationally significant architects of the periods of classicism, historicism, Jugendstil, expressionism, the Third Reich, the post-war period and the Modern up to the current art scene. In this context, questions of style, the function of the building, building typology, tradition and innovation will be discussed.
