REPAIR+SHARE X-CHANGE POINTModular repair and exchange point for everyday and residential objects.
Design of a publicly accessible, walkable weather shelter placed in the urban space with a modular spatial structure to exchange, share and repair objects. The goal is to activate idle resources of all kinds: from urban residual space to residential and everyday objects that become functional again through minor repairs to the repurposing or upcycling of their still usable components.
Main topics:How can architecture be used to draw attention to the resource-conserving use of materials and objects in public spaces? What unused or fallow resources are there? How can modular load-bearing structures that provide sufficient weather protection for the intended use be constructed with minimal and sustainable use of materials? The goal is to create a feasible design that will be presented via poster and model. The work can be done in groups of two.
Independent processing of a task with sketches, physical or digital working models and project studies.Working Models 1:5 bzw.1:20.Elaboration of plans in all scales relevant for building construction as well as a spatial model.
Conceptual + structural idea, complete representation of the project through sketches and plans (scale of elaboration in consultation with the supervisor), working and presentation models.
