After successful completion of the course, students are able to develop an independent architectural-constructive position on specific spatial requirements. Issues relevant to questions of building construction are to be addressed as an integrative component of the architectural concept.
In 2005, Sankt-Johann-Park, located in Vienna's 5th district, was renamed Bruno Kreisky Park. The "striking" transformation in terms of content is accompanied by rather superficial interventions. Landscaping with a gender-specific background, hammocks as art in public space and last but not least a Bruno Kreisky monument. --- what's next!? --- Quote Bruno Kreisky: "For me, the promotion of an idea is always higher than the promotion of a party, even if I am its chairman!" A pavilion-like "socio-cultural ideas workshop" in the form of a multifunctional, transitory spatial structure with low-threshold access is to be developed. A generous, spatial intervention in the structure of the park and the adjacent urban space, forced by holistic thinking in the field of tension of architecture, structure, energy design & art on the building / art in public space. --- architecture is about optimistic future!
