After successful completion of the course, students are able to be in a position not to be satisfied with the objectively constructed real environment and to question common urban, residential and architectural concepts and to re-understand architecture in its essence.

Discovery of new formal principles in architecture. The design title stands for the meaning of an architecture, which should form a counterpoint to the objective view of architecture. In the foreground of this architectural design is the development of a new and independent architecture that takes no part in the historical shape or in current architectural styles.

Designs explore architecture in its essence and are not content with the objectively built real environment. The questioning of common urban, residential and architectural concepts is the core of the design, whereby high quality of life and practical purpose are in the foreground of these considerations. The innovation takes place on all scale levels, from the design, object to the structural and detailed plan.

Der Titel des Entwerfens bezeichnet eine Architektur, die eine Vernetzung über die Ufer- und Flussbereiche hinweg von Gebäuden zu einer Stadtlandschaft entwickelt. Eine Architektur, die ein neues Konzept, weg von den üblichen rechtwinkeligen Siedlungsstrukturen, Gebäudeformen und Erschießungswegen entwickelt.

In the exercise, the projects are projected using a beamer and discussed together. For this purpose, the work is digitally uploaded before the respective presentation or correction date and is equally accessible to everyone. Every student can thus understand every work and criticism and also reflect in peace outside of the exercise.

The presentation steps include the following planning phases and scale levels:

1. Urban landscape
2. Long-span skeleton construction
3. Facade section as a vertical garden
4. Multifunctional floor plans
5. Economic planning assessment

Elaborations must respect the Five Points to a New Architecture set out by Le Corbusier a century ago.
