After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently analyse the functional, technical and design significance of building construction and building detail solutions of architectural projects and to understand the building detail not only as a manifestation of the technical, but also as an expression of culture, architectural understanding of the architects and also as a social demand on architecture.
The course consists of two complementary parts. In a lecture-discursive part, the architectural design parameters as well as the functional and technical aspects of building construction and detailing of exemplary projects are discussed first.
Subsequently, the knowledge gained from these lectures will be used for the targeted two- and three-dimensional, analytical processing of building constructions and detailing solutions of selected built architectural projects. The results of these investigations will be documented in text and drawings.
This analytical method will not only lead to a deeper understanding of the projects, but will also provide insights for the students' own design work.
Further details on content and procedure will be announced at the introductory event.
