Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the goals and methods of various parties involved in the planning and construction process with an eye to ecologically, economically and socially relevant topics. In-depth knowledge of the scope of coordination required. Transfer of knowledge about the sustainably motivated planning process and its structure.

Subject of course

Presentation and analysis of the current objectives of sustainability. Deeper understanding of the tasks, extent and type of essential participants in planning. Demonstration of possible strategies in an integrated planning-process.

Getting to know the instruments and tools for planning practice. Discussion of the professional image of the architect with regard to his/her self-image as a generalist, service provider or specialist or as a partner in the planning process. Deepened knowledge of tasks and the scope and nature of required planning participants. Presentation of possible strategies in the integrated planning process with a focus on architecture competition.
