Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to write a dissertation according to scientific and artistic criteria on the basis of continuous instructions during the private semester. On the basis of an chosen work topic, the reflection on a problem and search for solution and the corresponding scientific discourse are accompanied at the agreed dates.

The supervision includes the choice of the topic, the structuring of the material, the research and handling of literature, the correct quoting as well as the graphic design of images and text.

Subject of course

Concepts will be discussed and criticized, various topics and works compared, definitions and meanings  analyzed and questioned.With the help of this accompaniment, a freely chosen topic in relation to the theory and practice of architecture should be worked out independently and according to scientific criteria.In several personal meetings the topic should be specified and content discussed. Instructions for research, selection of literature, the use of quotations, different citation methods, questions of design a.o.
