After successful completion of the course, students are able to grasp simple spatial configurations, to transform them into spatially complex compositions under the elementary aspects of architectural design and to implement models in true-to-scale representation.
The module conveys basic skills in spatial plastic design and its application in the architectural dimension as well as an understanding of its epistemology. The lecture examines these contents on the basis of selected references and elements from all epochs of art and architecture to the present day. The essential parameters of an architectural design are each treated in isolation to the topics of the individual tasks, which are determined by the claim to structure, structure, light and routing.
In tutorials the lecture content has to be considered and transformed into 3-dimensional models.
Introduction into the exercise and its detailed explanation during the lecture; presentation of several examples; offer of ample opportunities of discussion and personal communication during ofered consulting hours.
Explanation of first exercise and explanation of all details concerning obtaining the marks during the first lecture (Oct. 15, 2021

Design and execution of 5 models, that are evaluated according to following scheme. The first 4 exercises count 17,5% each, while the 5th exercise counts 30%. One out of the 5 exercises may be assessed negatively. All the other 4 exercises must be evaluated positively in order to conclude with a positive mark. The overall result must be at least 4 to get a positive final mark.
