After successful completion of the course, students are able to grasp the basics of housing in its spatial, contextual and social contexts and implement them in a simple design task in individual work.
In the VU Wohnbau, thematic fields are developed that subsequently promise a concrete occasion for students to engage with the subject of housing in a design-related way. In the lecture the "Hard Facts" will be taught as a substantial tool. The studio itself gives the different positions of the teachers a certain freedom, which enables a heterogeneity of the results with specific precision, which means nothing else than an open and unconditional discussion or cooperation between students and supervisors on the basis of individual projects.
The concept and project development is supported by weekly supervision and a three-day intensive phase in individual discussions.
