Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyse the conditions for temporary structures intended to cope with the Corona-crisis, e.g. vaccinationcenters and emergency clinics. They are aware of the performance and quality criteria for these structures and are able to integrate them into an architectural design.

Subject of course

In the first step the studio will deal with the analysis of the requirements and criteria for temporary health care facilities, starting with a research on examples from Berlin planned by HWP architects, that will be extended to other international examples. The following design will take into account the functional and logistic requirements as well as spatial and atmospheric aspects of the design task.
