After successful completion of the course, students are able to define and graphically depict relevant spatial-social elements and building blocks in contemporary Italy. Italy explained in ten fragments.
The workshop starts with the analysis of selected phenomena both in the domestic interior and in the urban context. The researched contents are to be translated into meaningful images. The resulting images are part of a manual: Italy explained in ten fragments.
Based on texts, visual material and film, specific themes of contemporary Italy are to be researched and graphically realised.
The workshop is specifically aimed at students with an interest in representation and graphics.The workshop is part of the research project and publication "L'ultimo Grand Tour". Its aim is the critical study and reflection of architectural-urban aspects of historical and contemporary Italy.Participation in the workshop requires registration in the general module Housing.The workshop will be presented during the digital module presentation on Wednesday 03.03.2021.Registration for the workshop is from 03.03. to 12.03.2021 via email to putzu@wohnbau.tuwien.ac.at (with samples of work).
