After successful completion of the course, students are able to record and analyse urban, architectural and socio-spatial structures on site. They learn to document and reflect on these and to examine their potential for accompanying design work.

The excursion to Paris provides the framework and the basis for the course impromptu design workshop Paris and can only be completed by taking this course. Please consult the TISS entries of the impromptu design workshop Paris.

The excursion and the impromptu design worshop will take place at the same time and in cooperation with the lectures of the same name of the Department of Urban Design.

Approximately 10 days will be spent on site, investigating, documenting and reflecting on current trends in urban planning, architecture and housing through city walks, building visits and office visits.
