After successful completion of the course, students are able to... During the course, students will learn to reflect about the build environment in a critical way. Existing concepts of architecture will be scrutinized and retought bottom up.
Taxis is a common phenomena in biologie. It's all about the reaction of plants and animals to their environment. Well known for example, is the fact that flowers are aiming towards the sun and furthermore grow towards the sky. Seamen in space do lose control about and end up in weird but interesting looking shapes. What shape could architecture became, if we do not accept it as frozen geometry but as growing organism? What would happen if we do not try to control this organismus but let it evolve from within? Which new and unknown structures will we came up with?
The course is dealing with the geometrical possibilities, that will allow architecture to grow or develop further in another way. We will deal with digital design methods within grasshopper and blender 3d. Workshops will guide the weekly discussions. No knowledge in digital design methods are needed but the interest in learning them is recommended.

The projects will be discussed via beamer. The recent state of the projects will be uploaded to ftp-folders available to the other participants. Every student can learn from other projects and small groups of discussion and work can be build.
