Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to create, calculate and evaluate building construction details in terms of building physics and building ecology.

A specific focus is laid on the ecologic rating of building components according to Baubook.

Subject of course

Planning-relevant criteria for energy-efficient and sustainable construction; Identification or development of planning-relevant criteria / recommendations as a basis for design decisions regarding energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings Development of the ability to assess planned and constructed buildings with regard to their sustainability (evaluation criteria, assessment tools, national and international labels) Analysis of exemplary buildings Support of design programs, feedback to specific questions Current: Construction methods in comparison (eg massive / light)

Teaching methods

Research, analysis and evaluation with Baubook, related to new construction and renovation.

Learn and use the necessary tools.

Documentation of the examples.
