Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to work on complex design tasks in the field of architecture and urban planning independently, systematically and with an original, contemporary design approach based on a precise architectural language.
They have the competence to recognize fields of action in the urban and rural context and to develop appropriate architectural solutions. The students are able to conduct autonomous research and topic-related basics. They have the ability to develop and create design concepts and to comprehensively present and present them in the form of design and detailed plans as well as models.

Subject of course

In the course the content of the master's program and the competencies acquired are combined into complex architectural tasks. It conveys the ability to understand architecture as a process in which the prerequisites and goals of a design task are dealt with in terms of urban planning and architecture. A design is developed on the basis of social, spatial, constructive and technical requirements.

The Goričko Project

The task for the Goričko project is derived from a landscape of the Goričko Natural Park, which is largely shaped by its agricultural use and the associated formats in its appearance. The transformation of these structures is not only due to constantly changing ownership and lease agreements, but also due to the increasing shift of emphasis from agriculture to other fields of activity, which can be attributed to a majority of commercial production.
Thus, projects with different topics for living and working, agricultural, social or tourist facilities such as manufactories, farms, houses and schools are translated into a regional scale and are to meet the contemporary needs and requirements of a rural population in a landscaped environment.
