The aim of the design is the development of sustainable concepts using natural building materials for the slightly dense, urban space in western Vienna as an extension of the Vienna Woods. As part of the design process, innovative concepts in architecture and construction as a whole, which deal with the state of the art in sustainable living and working with natural building materials, are examined and the results presented. The subsequent design focuses on the development and integration of new technologies that increase the awareness of healthy, comfortable and sustainable living with natural building materials. From an urban planning point of view, interventions to stimulate less dense urban areas through construction, modification or change of use are relevant. This will be shown using the example of the western outskirts of Vienna. The relaxed urban structure of Vienna should be explored and located. In this process, the concepts of identity, space and private space should also be reflected.
As an example for the regional cultural area, this part of Vienna should be developed as a unit.
