After successful completion of the course, students are able to formulate a hypothesis on a previously defined architectural problem and to support it with empirical investigations. The students are also able to independently develop an architectural design concept and to present it on different scales.
Selection of topics as well as monitoring and regular discussion of the progress of the scientific work.
Through the analysis and comparison of existing projects and through investigations of differentiated architectural requirements, a point of view is formulated in the form of a written seminar paper which is to serve as the basis for the subsequent design. Subsequently, and on the basis of a precise conceptual task, underpinned by a clear spatial programme, the various standards of the architectural design task are worked through both graphically and with the aid of work models.
Production of an independent scientific dissertation.
