.) Theories and methods of architectural project management - quality management systems and methods for drafting and constructing innovative buildings.
.) National, European and international procurement procedures, contract law for public and best bidder procedures concerning services, supply and construction services.
.) Organisation and management of complex architectural projects: project organisation, data and document management with virtual project rooms.
.) Building Information Management [BIMan] and Building Information Modeling [BIM].
.) Iterative and integral planning of complex architectural projects and the construction management.
.) Schedule planning and control, critical path analysis, 4D-BIM.
.) Cost planning: calculation of construction, building, erection costs according to ÖN B 1801.1 and DIN 276, element costing, 5D-BIM, life cycle costs according to ÖN B 1801.2.
.) Special topics: risk management, anti claim management, guest lectures.
.) Enhancement of social competence through the collaboration of the participants with each other and the discourse with the lecturers.
.) Iterative and integral planning and management of complex architectural projects forms the focal point in teaching and research - from drafting to completion and use of the building.
This shall be analysed, studied, developed and designed by the students, in dialogue with the teachers and on the basis of a sample project (course: iterative and integral planning and BIM). The lectures of the core and supplementary subjects complement the project work. Parts of the lecture will be compiled by the students in discourse with the lecturers. Guest lectures on iterative and integrale planning as well as on the use of BIM in planning, constructing and managing complex architectural projects will additionaly be held, partly in English.
For details, see the description of the respective lectures.
