Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the BIM planning systems and tools for integrated architectural planning (3D, 4D, 5D-, ...-BIM). The exercise complements the lecture 253.750.

Subject of course

Practice work: organization and development of building information management tools; 3D BIM planning: preliminary design, design, submission, execution planning and tendering, scheduling (4D BIM), cost planning (5D-BIM), documentation. Public presentation of the project, defence of theses, personal conclusion.

Teaching methods

Practice work (3D, 4D, 5D BIM): Preliminary design, design, submission, execution and detail planning, planning and construction dates, cost forecast (element cost calculation), performance description.

Written and oral

Additional information

Requirements are
.) willingness to work in a team,
.) good knowledge of CAD, 3D and graphic programmes,
.) basic knowledge of BIM programs, network technique and cost planning according to ÖN B 1801.1 and 1801.2.
