After successful completion of the course, students are able to develop simple PR concepts in an architectural context, determine journalistic text types, determine the dialogue groups relevant to a project, create a basic press distribution list, write simple news releases and press releases, and develop visual PR subjects.

Content of the course is to provide students the fundamentals of PR from the strategic planning of PR concepts to successful public relations practice of the dialogue group analysis to write good press releases.

Introduction to the German-speaking architectural media landscape; research and analysis of media data, texts, dialogue groups and image material; writing of news and press releases; development of image subjects; short presentations, presentations and group work; guest lectures or excursions on a case-by-case basis.

The course is held alternately in face-to-face classes and online via ZOOM. Due to the dialogical and practice-oriented conception of the course - in addition to many theoretical and practical inputs from the lecturers - various learning tasks and homework assignments have to be completed individually and in working groups during the semester.
