After successful completion of the course, students are able to identify journalistic text types, to consume media more consciously, to use language specifically in the architectural context, to write simple news and press releases, to develop a simple PR concept.
Contents of the course are the teaching of the basics of PR and journalism in the context of architecture, more conscious consumption of media, increased awareness of language, knowledge of how to compose good, concise texts suitable for press work and for describing one's own projects.
Introduction to the German-language architectural media landscape; introduction to PR in the architectural context, presentations of case studies, research and analysis of text content, websites, media data, writing of news and press releases; development of image subjects; presentations and group work; continuous feedback by the instructor, occasional guest lectures or excursions.

The course is held in face-to-face classes. Due to the dialogical and practice-oriented conception of the course - in addition to many theoretical and practical inputs from the lecturers - various learning tasks and homework assignments have to be completed individually and in working groups during the semester.
