After successful completion of the course, students are able to communicate their projects visually, they know various techniques of representation and they can develop their own form of presentation from them.
On the basis of prepared materials, techniques of representation and picture composition will be discussed and assembled in the group in order to develop an exhibition and publication.

In the summer term 2021 the subject of architectural representations will be dealt with – in this specific case, the analysis and appropriation of architectural visualisations. In the course of the seminar, each participant designs a page, with the emphasis being on the form of representation and not the design.
Aims of the lecture:
13 selected architects will be analysed by 2 students and the respective representation technique will be “copied”. The result is 26 charts and a joint publication.
The emphasis will be on:
- Analysis of architectural representations and their inspiration
- Application of representation techniques: drawings, collage, rendering etc.
- Narrative structure, division of the page, picture composition
- How do I start with a layout?
- Depiction and curating of one’s own working process
- Introduction into exhibition formats – the display as a joint connecting element
If, due to the requirements of the Federal Government or the TU Wien, it becomes impossible to hold the class, the examination, and/or the class meetings on site, the class will move online. If this happens, the announced dates for the class lectures and examinations (part performances) may change. If the class moves online, the following methods and modes will apply:
Method when moving online:
The course will be held online via Zoom or GoToMeeting.
Exam mode when moving online:
Evaluation will be continuous even if the class moves online. The final presentation will be carried out on Zoom. Student work will be submitted in both analogue and digital form.
Assessment model for the online exam: both analogue and digital submissions and presentations will be assessed.
Required technical equipment for participation in the course and examination: stable internet access, Zoom or GoToMeeting.
