The focus of the course lies on the comprehensive communication of graphic design basics from an architectural perspective. How can architectural projects be depicted, how is text inserted properly, how can a layout for presentations, exhibitions or catalogues be developed? Moreover, graphic designers who work with architects will talk about their techniques.
It is recommended to take this course in combination with the accompanying exercise 253.497, Graphic design.
General introduction to the basics of graphic design Best practice examples of architectural presentations and graphic work Introduction to typography, typefaces, readability and the like From historical formats to screens and monitors Graphics combined with architecture (guide systems, letterings, facades) Basic principles and sample applications of composition grids Sketching of design ideas, schematic depictions Layout of plans and posters for design presentations, exhibitions and catalogues

The exercise can be suit a maximum of 25 participants.
Participation is decided upon after application with portfolio. Portfolio requirements: one (!) A4 page portfolio and one (!) A4 page letter of motivation (see template in the download area, do not use other formats!)
