Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand all contemporary requirements for a building and to further think them ahead. In addition, all contemporary relevant planning methods are taught.

Subject of course

The main contemporary building typologies are discussed compared and analyzed in short design exercises. The logic of function and usability in architecture is further developed to a broader based functional research. Based on the knowledge of contemporary building concepts and its limits progressive planning methods are introduced and integrated into an progressive planning process.
