After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve complex architectural design tasks and have the skills required to analyse these tasks from a functional as well as spatial perspective.
A series of lectures presents current projects and discusses them with the architects and planners. The practical part is organized as group work on special aspects of the projects presented. Next semester's topic will be health care buildings, with a special focus on hospitals and hospital planning.
Lectures on Best-Practice Examples will be provided and subsequent discussion and a comparative analysis will provide an in depth report on current typologies and standards, of hospital facilities.
A technical report on the current changes and situation of health care, specifically hospital-, facilites will be developed in groups throughout the course.
