Aim of course
Students learn how to apply software engineering techniques to practical problems. They further learn how to write and test simple programs.
Subject of course
The course gives an introduction to software engineering and an overview of the basic concepts in computer science, such as data structures and algorithms. Concepts presented in class are complemented by hands-on exercises in software engineering and programming. Students work in small groups on a term project which involves the development of requirements for a software application in the health care domain. !!!! Students are expected to bring along their laptops to classes. Free and ZID software will be used. !!!!
