Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand basic concepts of ecology from different perspectives. Thereby, lectureres of different background provide insights to their research and work in the field of ecology.

Subject of course

The interdisciplinary lecture series "Ringvorlesung Ökologie" provides an introduction to the ecology of the built environment. Lecturers with different scientific and professional backgrounds will make presentations regarding topics such as sustainable buildings, energy performance of buildings, sustainable transportation and infrastructure planning, renewable energy ressources as well as legal and economic issues. Ongoing research, innovation and prijects concerning sustainable building design will be presented.
