Aim of course

Build-up of a basic knowledge qualifying for meaningful design of building constructions with regard to their thermal behavior.

Subject of course

Presentation of the method of three dimensional thermal simulation as a tool for the optimization of building constructions with regard to their thermal behavior. Explanation of the influence of heat bridges on the thermal and energetic quality of the building envelope. Discussion of the actual situation of standards concerning heat bridges. Report on the recent developments on the fields of three dimensional thermal simulation. Introduction in calculation of heat bridges by practical work on projects using various multidimensional thermal simulation programs.
