Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the ides of "function" in architecture and apply this knowledge in the evaluation of architectural projects. They command a set of precedents for public buildings and are able to extend this set autonomously. They are able to classify planning theories and are able to apply them considering their strenghts and weaknesses.

Critical history and theory of building types and design methods. discussion of post-functionalist strategies in design; guest lectures on advanced topics.
