After successful completion of the course, students are able togain an overview of the basics of the specific restoration methods for monuments. In groups the students research in archives and libraries and present their results on site at the objects.
Different approaches and strategies, requirements for the design, from urban planning scale to individual buildings. Special topics such as the energetic renovation of individual buildings and ensembles. Outlook into specific sub-topics (e.g. dealing with protection zones, post-war architecture, cultural landscape, garden monument conservation, industrial monuments)
Group work; Research, Presentation and written thesis; excursions and analysis on site
