After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

- do research about architectural space and its users, and to present the  analyses visually.

- develop research questions and conduct architectural research

- prepare and to do workshops, excursions and/or input-lectures on architecture for pupils.

- understand the perception of architectural space of users, to get pupils interested in architecture and to awake enthusiasm for new educational spaces.

Learning spaces in Educational Institutions

We will take a look at various learning environments as spaces within the institutionalized educational landscape. We will take a look at historical and contemporary learning environments as spaces for communicatioan and social interaction.

This semester we will work with schools in the Per Albin Hanson Siedlung in Vienna.

Students are asked to devolop their own reserach concerning educational spaces and the perception by different user groups. Following this analytical phase students are asked to create (digital) mediation concepts on educational spaces.
