After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyse the architectural history of the 19th and 20th centuries on the basis of an overview of important exponents, buildings, currents and problems in the context of cultural-historical aspects.
Artifacts from history are attempted to be understood through contemporary considerations. In addition to the respective historical context, special attention is paid to the history of the artifact's impact as well as its media presentation and representation
