Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to deal creatively with historical buildings, because all design work on protected structures requires specific expertise and appropriate strategies. This excursion offers students the opportunity to study on the site the manifold requirements that are needed to conserve, restore, renovate and administrate a historic monument.

Subject of course

Excursion Amsterdam/Rotterdam/Roosendaal is directed at students who have completed the major Design Monument Conservation and Design: Strategies for Conservation in the summer semester 2020.

The excursion (calendar week 44) is linked to the small design studio 251.855 "Denkmalpflege und Entwurf: Strategien der Erhaltung".

The excursion fee is approx. € 450,- and includes the costs for accommodation, transfer and entrance fees on site. Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements and payment.
