Aim of course

After successful completion of the course, students are able to gain to understand the theoretical aspects of monument conservation and monument science. They can discuss and work on current research topics in a medium and longer-term perspective.

Fundamentals of monument preservation and heritage sciences.

History of monument preservation, monument preservation, monument values, fundamentals, terms and definitions, theoretical discussion, charters, conventions, memoranda, international, national, local.

Discourse about social and political relevance, formulation of current research topics, medium and long term perspectives.
